Borno Janekovic (53), the newly appointed CEO of Omphalos Funds, started his career in asset management as a portfolio analyst at DWS Group in 1996, where he gained his expertise in financial analysis and investment strategy. Prior to his appointment, he served as CEO and CIO of Templeton Asset Management Poland TFI and held the position of Head of Distribution for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. Borno studied computer science and economics at the University of Koblenz and complemented his education with an executive leadership diploma from the University of California, Berkeley, giving him a solid mix of technical knowledge, management experience and financial expertise. His extensive responsibilities at Franklin Templeton included overseeing major expansion and strategic initiatives, strengthening the firm’s operations and expanding its presence in key financial markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
